How much does a website cost in Tanzania?
A one-page site with WhatsApp ordering costs between TZS 450,000 and 650,000. A full searchable catalogue on your own domain costs between TZS 1,000,000 and 1,600,000. A complete multi-branch site with bookings runs TZS 2,500,000 to 4,000,000, and a business system with an admin dashboard starts at TZS 6,500,000.
Those are my prices, published, and the rest of this page explains what moves them and what everybody else in Tanzania charges. Nobody should have to fill in a form to find out whether they can afford something.
What the market charges.
Collected from published prices on Tanzanian agency websites in August 2026. Ranges, not quotes — check them yourself before you rely on them.

Hosting and your domain are included for the first year, in your name. Half up front, half when it goes live and works.
What actually moves the price.
How many things you sell.
Ten products is a page. Four hundred products with sizes, colours and stock states is a searchable catalogue, and that is a different amount of work regardless of who builds it.
Whether somebody has to book a time.
Selling an object is simple. Selling an hour — a table, a class, an appointment — means the site has to know what's already taken, and the price steps up there.
How many branches or locations.
One shop is one address. Five branches with different hours, different stock and different delivery areas is five times the content and a structure that has to hold it.
Whether you need to see the numbers.
If you want to open something and see today's orders, this week's bookings and what's running low, that's an admin surface. It's the biggest single jump in price and the only one that changes how you work.
Whether your photos are usable.
This is the one nobody mentions. Good photos make a cheap site look expensive and bad photos make an expensive site look cheap. If yours are not good enough I will tell you before we start, not after.

The range depends on what you need, not on who is asking.
- How long does it take?
- Faster than anywhere else you will ask. A single page is days rather than weeks, a full order website is under a week, a complete site is a couple of weeks, and a full business system is about a month. While somebody else is still sending you a proposal, yours is live.
- Do I own the website and the domain?
- You own both. The domain is registered in your name, not mine, and the first year is included in the price. I will not put your site on my subdomain and call it yours.
- How do I pay?
- M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money or bank transfer. Half to start, half when it goes live. I do not start without the first half, and that applies to everybody without exception.
- Can you make it cheaper?
- The price does not move, but the scope does. I will remove a named module and tell you exactly what you lose, or drop you a tier. That way you're never paying for something that doesn't solve your problem.
